“multi-point perspective” is an attempt to visualize the landscape of ideas that are continually welling up in my mind. My process begins by observing the principles at work in the world, grasping their relationship with the environment. I formulate a hypothesis, and test it by building something. Going repeatedly from a single point to the whole, and from the whole to a single point, I traverse the landscape. Work proceeds through trial and error, keeping an open mind and frequently switching perspective, zooming in and zooming out. As I do that, ideas from different areas stick together, expand, and begin to morph, resulting in the emergence of completely unexpected, unknown shapes.
