HIHI DADAとともに会場に並ぶのは、椅子の構成パーツを分解して再構成したオブジェクトたち。どれもこれも、座ることを目的としていないふしぎなかたちをしています。これらはギャラリーの壁に貼られたキャプションのような存在です。言葉に代わって、HIHI DADAの特徴を視覚的に翻訳し、見る側、座る側にそっと語りかけてくるはずです。

In the exhibition, these chairs—HIHI and DADA—are accompanied by a number of objects created by dismantling the chairs and reconfiguring their component parts. Each object has an odd shape, not intended to be sat on. Instead, they play roles usually performed by captions and texts on the gallery wall. In place of words, the objects pick up the HIHI DADA characteristics and translate them into a visually comprehensible form, unobtrusively conveying details to people looking at or sitting on the chairs.
